Help Choosing the Branch I want to Join?

Hey. Well, I'm going to just cut to the chase. Basically In a little while, I'm looking to join a branch of the military. It's always been a dream of mine, even since I was a kid. Now, there's only one question... which one should I join? Keep it between the Army and the Marines. I want to work on the ground. Basically, If I join, I want to actually be doing work. In the action. Not doing crap jobs. A nice amount of pay would also be a plus. Thanks!
