WILL MY Hair Not Grow Back?

I Did The Big Chopp June 14 & Now My Hair iss About 3 1/2 inchess long , The Big Chopp iss when you cut off all your relaxed endss , but anywayss back to the point my dad sayss my hair will not grow back is that true ? also im african american :)
