My dog has a chipped tooth and swollen eye?

We have a one year old lab who loves chasing her ball, frisbee, etc. A couple days ago, she stopped playing and whenever she tried to pick up a toy she would yelp. We noticed that her left canine is chipped, but she still eats without a problem so we didn't think it was too bad. Then today we noticed that underneath her right eye is swollen. Are these two things related? Is it possible that her tooth may have become infected?
